ISLAMABAD – China has appreciated Pakistan for its willingness to havedialogue with India and its restraint in action in recent tensions betweenthe two countries.
In a statement, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou said Beijing andIslamabad are all weather strategic partners and they always supported eachother.
He said China has closely followed the situation between Pakistan andIndia, and appreciates Pakistan’s remaining calm and exercising restraintfrom being first in action, and persisting in easing tension with Indiathrough dialogue.
The Chinese vice Foreign Minister said that China maintains that thesovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries should be respectedand does not want to see acts that violate the norms of internationalrelations.

He said China calls on Pakistan and India to launch dialogue as soon aspossible, and work together to maintain regional peace and stability.
He expressed China’s willingness to play a constructive role in this regard.
