Thousands throng at multiple round of funeral prayers held for martyred Kashmiri fighter

ISLAMABAD – In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated infuneral prayers of martyred youth, Irfan Ahmed Shaikh, at Chakoora inPulwama district, today.

Braving heavy snow, people thronged Chakoora and attended the funeralprayers of martyr Irfan.

Four rounds of funerals prayers were held for the youth, who was killed byIndian troops during a cordon and search operation at Chakoora, yesterday.He was buried amid massive pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, KMS reported.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Chakoora and adjoining areasof the district to mourn the killing of Irfan Ahmed Shaikh.

On the other hand, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat led by its ChairmanBilal Ahmed Siddiqi visited Baramulla to offer condolences and sympathieswith bereaved families of martyrs Muhammad Suhaib Aakhoon, Nasir Ahmed andMushtaq Ahmed. They were martyred recently.

On this occasion Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi said that the martyrs were real heroesof Kashmir’s freedom struggle.
