PM Imran Khan to leave for yet another foreign policy tour: Report

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan is set for a day-long visit to Dubai,United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 10, the Foreign Office said onThursday.

He is visiting the Gulf state on the invitation of his counterpart SheikhMohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum to attend the 7th World Government Summit.

Heads of states, policy makers, business leaders and experts will attendthe event to discuss current and future opportunities to improve governancethrough reform, innovation and technology.

“Prime Minister’s participation will underscore Pakistan’s strong interestin the knowledge economy, artificial intelligence, green development andthe importance of innovation for growth,” the communique read.

In his keynote address at the summit, the prime minister will highlight hisvision for Pakistan, and encourage investment in different sectors of thecountry’s economy.

Accompanied by ministers of foreign affairs, finance, maritime affairs andadviser to the prime minister on commerce, he will also meet the leadershipof UAE.
