ISLAMABAD: King Abdullah II of Jordan accompanied by a high-leveldelegation including senior officials will visit Pakistan on invitation ofPresident Mamnoon Hussain, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.

During his stay here, the King of Jordan will hold talks with PresidentMamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Bilateral, regional and international matters of mutual interest will alsobe discussed. The visit would provide an opportunity to explore ways andmeans to further strengthen cooperation in diverse areas of mutualinterest, particularly expanding bilateral trade and enhanced investmentsin Pakistan, the foreign office added.

Pakistan and Jordan enjoy extremely close and brotherly relations.

They share common perceptions on regional and international issues andmatters concerning the Muslim Ummah.

The visit King Abdullah II is expected to give a new impetus to theexisting fraternal bonds between the two countries, it added.
