ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has rejected Indianpropaganda that Pakistan has the intention to launch surgical strikes inOccupied Kashmir.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Saturday, he said Pakistan is a peaceloving country having no aggressive designs against any one and suchpropaganda is unfounded and BASELESS, Radio Pakistan has reported.
The Foreign Minister urged Indian leadership to refrain from issuing suchirresponsible statements.
He said Pakistan wants resolution of all outstanding issues, includingKashmir through peaceful means.
He said provocative and negative statements of Indian leadership, beinggiven under domestic political compulsions, can jeopardize regional peace.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said now sane voices from within India are condemninggrave human rights violations by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
He said Islamabad’s desire for peace should not be misconstrued forweakness and any misadventure against Pakistan will be responded in abefitting manner.
He said Pakistan has the capability to respond to any aggressive act withinno time.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan is focusing on peace efforts to bringstability to Afghanistan as per desire of international community butIndian propaganda may force us to divert attention from Afghanistan, whichcan be disastrous for peace in the region.
He urged the international community to convince the India leadership torefrain from negative propaganda.
He said Pakistan wants peace, stability, and progress of the region, whichis not possible in a hostile environment.
