Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan has lauded the EuropeanUnion for announcing a generous funding of nine billion Euro to help theglobal community fight climate change.
In an interview with APP, he said funding for climate action in developingcountries will help boost climate resilience of various socio-economicsectors.
He said climate change ministry will try to get sufficient amount of thenew funding by the European commission to protect country’s agriculture,health, irrigation and energy sectors from the fallouts of the recurringand protracted droughts, heatwaves and floods.
The Minister said Pakistan is extremely vulnerable to devastating effectsof the global warming-caused climate change and sufferings climate-relatedlosses to the tune of nearly four hundred billion rupees.
