Occupied Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti open plea to Pakistan and India

SRINAGAR: In an open plea, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister MehboobaMufti requested Prime Minister Narendra Modilink> and Pakistanlink> to bury the hatchet andbecome friends for the sake of local Kashmiris and jawans on the border,Zee News has reported.

“Sarhad paar Pakistan ko bhi main guzarish karti hun, apne mulk kewazire-e-azam ko bhi guzarish karti hun- Jammu Kashmir ke logon ko isdaldal se nikalne ke liye, hamare jawano ki hifazat ke liye, aapas me sulahkaro, baatcheet karo, dosti karo (I request Pakistanis across the borderand my country’s Prime Minister to help the people of Jammu and Kashmircome out of this mess and protect our jawans by finding solutions, holdingdialogues and becoming friends),” said Mufti while addressing a rally inKashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.

Mufti’s statement comes a day after four policemen diedlink>andtwo seriously injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion inSopore township of Baramulla district.

The policemen were on patrol duty when the IED, planted by militants, wentoff near a shop in a lane between the ‘Chotta Bazaar’ and ‘Bada Bazaar’ inSopore.

In a pre-dawn strike on December 31, 2017, five CRPF men were killed whenheavily armed militants stormed the camp of the paramilitary force atLethpora.
