ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated National Health Insurance Program for the free medical treatment of poor citizens of society. Over 3 million poor families could enjoy the free medical facilities.
As per details, 7 diseases will be cured free of cost according to this scheme including Diabetes Mellitus, Hepatitis, cancer, heart etc. The scheme will be started in 15 district of country in first phase. Health Card will be given to Over 1.2 million poor families.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony, PM Nawaz said that now poor families would not have to take loan for the medical treatment. Facility of health insurance will be provided to poor families.
PM Nawaz further added that it is not the matter of politics. We should work together for the betterment of Pakistan. Government would take strict action in case of complaints of corruption and wrongdoing in the scheme.
PM Nawaz expressed his desire that those provinces which are not part of the program should also join the scheme.
