KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) on Sunday unanimously elected former president of Pakistan and party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari as the Party’s new president.
This decision has been taken by the senior party leaders and office bearesrs during the central executive committee meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party at Naudero House on Sunday evening.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The seat had fallen vacant after the party’s previous president Makhdoom Amin Fahim who passed away after illness on November 21, 2015.
After the meeting the senior leaders of PPP brief to media that the Party leaders ship discussed important issues same like rangers issue and role of federal and Sindh government.
A Senior PPP politician Qamar Zaman Kaira warned that any unconstitutional action against the Sindh government will be met with strong resistance, adding that the PPP leadership was of the view that any such measure would weaken the federation.
