Officials of Pakistan Army distributed relief goods in Mithi and Badin among the families of those Jawans who laid their lives in defending the borders of the country and fighting terrorists in different operations.
According to details, 504 Semi Activated Mujahid Battalion Badin Cantonment, Major Mushtaq Ahmed and Major Altaf, along with other officials, visited various villages of Mithi, to meet relatives of over 27 martyrs and distributed relief goods ahead of the Defence Day to be observed tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, the military officials said that it is the duty of every Pakistani to help the families of those who had laid down their lives for the country.
Meanwhile, An event in connection with Defence of Pakistan Day was held at village Vahro Sharif in Umerkot to pay rich tribute to the martyrs.
On this occasion, sweets and fruit were distributed among the children and slogans were also chanted "up with Pakistan".
A large number of Army, Police and officials of district administration were present on the occasion.
