The U.S. Central Command has stated that the United States has deployed nuclear submarines to the Middle East.
CENTCOM announced the arrival of an Ohio-class nuclear submarine in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility on November 5, 2023. This marks the first time the U.S. has sent nuclear submarines to the Middle East.
According to Israeli reports, the United States possesses 20 nuclear submarines, including four American nuclear submarines capable of launching Tomahawk missiles, while the remaining 14 submarines are capable of firing ballistic missiles.
Additionally, the U.S. news reports mention that the head of the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), William Burns, has arrived in Israel. William Burns will engage in discussions about continuing the fight against Hamas and negotiations for the release of Israeli captives.
