Supreme Court hints at suspending IHC judgement against Sharif family which may land them in Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has hinted at suspending IHC judgement against Sharif family.
CJP remarked that apparently there is no option except to suspend the judgement of the Islamabad High Court.
Hearing the NAB appeals against suspension of sentences of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar in the Avenfield reference on Tuesday, he asked the counsels of both parties to come to court after preparing for the point of the verdict suspension.
“Has any court pronounced such judgement in the past?” he questioned.
The CJP remarked that the IHC gave the impression that the appeal will be heard first of all by reserving the judgement.
