SEOUL: Samsung Electronics Co. said Tuesday it will start sales of the Galaxy J4+ smartphone in its home market, which comes with a wide display optimized for multitasking.
The Galaxy J4+ comes with a 6-inch display, which is slightly smaller than Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Note 9's 6.4-inch screen. It is still larger than the Galaxy S9's 5.8-inch screen.
The company said the wide display with a 18.5:9 ratio helps users run two applications at the same time. A person can open a window for messaging while browsing the web. Likewise a person can enjoy gaming, as well as checking out a movie.
The Galaxy J4+ comes with a 13-megapixel rear facing camera, along with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The battery capacity stands at 3,300 mAh.
The price tag on the smartphone, available locally in the unlocked form, stands at 264,000 won (US$235).
