IMF Head office being shifted to Pakistan, taunts former President Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday taunted that head office of International Monetary Fund (IMF) was being shifted to Pakistan.

He made these remarks during interaction with media personnel here in the federal capital today.

On question about chairman of Public Accounts Committee, Zardari replied that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had not approached him for consultation on the matter. However, he added that PML-N would have consulted Khursheed Shah.

Zardari stated that PPP will hold a meeting on whether supporting Rana Tanvir’s candidature for the post of PAC chairman.

“We can’t run country in a manner when representatives of IMF have access to financial books of Pakistan”, warned the former president of Pakistan.
