ISLAMABAD: While paying rich tribute to legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, Pakistan Upper House Senate has passed a condolence resolution and offered fateha for the departed soul.
As per details, the resolution was submitted by leader of the house Raja Zafar ul Haq here at today to pay homage to Muhammad Ali that has been unanimously passed by house later.
Members of upper house said that Muhammad Ali was not only a good sportsman but also a good human being while he also served as social activist in America.
The resolution quotes the boxer’s words “Every human being is born for a purpose” and said that he fulfilled the purpose of his life by changing the lives of a number of human beings.
Muhammad Ali stance has also been lauded by Senate in condolence resolution in which he refused to become the part of US Army to kill innocent people and throw bombs on them in Vietnam War.
A copy of the resolution would also be sent by upper house to the family of Muhammad Ali.
