Punjab Budget 2016-2017 : Facts and Figures

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly budget session has been called by Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana and budget would be presented in Punjab Assembly on June 13 while notification has also been issued in this regard.
As per details, Provincial Finance Minister Ayesha Ghous Pasha would present budget for next fiscal year 2016-17. According to documents, next fiscal year budget would comprise of Rs. 1650 billion while Rs. 550 would be allocated for developmental projects.
Rs. 18 billions and 40 crore would be allocated for energy projects while 30 billions would be reserved for those projects which are being completed with external investment.
Rs. 5 billions allocated for Canal Road extension, Rs.50 billion for Kisan Package and Rs. 57.50 crore for Women Development would be allocated by Punjab government.
Rs. 13.49 billion would be allocated for Higher Education Commission while Rs. 22.62 billion would be reserved for school education.
Rs. 61 crore for social welfare, 14.95 billion for water supply and sanitation would be allocated by government.
