ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Sun Weidong Tuesday said around 10,000 local people had so far gained employment via 17 projects of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Addressing an event held here to mark the opening of the CPEC website, he said, tremendous work on the CPEC had already been begun.
The ambassador said his country had established the Silk Road Bank and Asia Infrastructure Bank for the projects under CPEC initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said, the website will be used to relay information to the general masses regarding the project and dispel damaging rumours about it.
The website will provide information regarding CPEC project, he added.
Mushahid Hussain said the whole country would reap the benefits of CPEC project and said Pakistan was ready to face the challenges of completing the project.
