ISLAMABAD – Important decisions taken on bilateral front in high leveltalks between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan and Saudi Arab reaffirmed the resolve to further deepen bilateralcooperation in diverse fields.
This was expressed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chairman Saudi ShuraCouncil Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Ibrahim Al Sheikh and members of hisdelegation during a meeting who called on Prime Minister in Islamabad onFriday.
According to the press release of Prime Minister office,the delegation ison a 3-day visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Speaker National AssemblyAsad Qaiser.
The Pakistani and Saudi delegations’ meeting discussed the bilateralrelations and other important issues.
The Prime Minister added that the Saudi leadership was held in high esteemin Pakistan and the visit of the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman toPakistan was memorable in terms of further fortifying the relations.
The Prime Minister lauded the growing cooperation between the Parliamentsof Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Imran Khan apprised the Chairman Shura Council of the dire human rights andhumanitarian situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir marked bythe inhuman lock-down and communications blockade, which had continuedsince 5 August 2019.
The Prime Minister stressed that the world must take cognizance of India’segregious violations of human rights in IOJ&K, make all possible efforts toalleviate the sufferings of the Kashmiri people, and facilitate a peacefulresolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN SecurityCouncil Resolutions.
The Chairman Shura Council conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Saudileadership to the Prime Minister Imran Khan. He expressed his commitment tocontinue working for closer and deeper links between the Parliaments of thetwo brotherly countries.
Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Ibrahim Al Sheikh shared concern over the gravesituation in IOJ&K and reiterated steadfast Saudi support to Pakistan tohelp resolve the Kashmir issue.
