55 Pakistani civilians martyred, 300 injured in Indian ceasefire violations in 2018

RAWALPINDI – DG ISPR has expressed concern over civilian killings duringIndia’s continued ceasefire violations and said that this year saw thehighest number of civilian killings on Pakistani side.

“At least 55 civilians lost their lives while 300 others were injured inthese ceasefire violations by India, we cannot ofcourse retaliate as itdoesn’t suit a professional force (to kill civilians) and because ourKashmiri brethren live on the other side,” said DG ISPR.

Asif Ghafoor maintained that Pakistan wants talks with India for durablepeace but tit is the Indian side which is continuously backing off fromnegotiations.

He added that Pakistan opened the Kartarpur border as the first step in theprocess and now it is India’s turn to show it is willing to come on thetable.
