RAWALPINDI – DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that the Pak Army as aninstitution not involved in any political activity.
In an interview with a private TV channel on Wednesday, he said that thesit-in and the march is a political activity. “The Pak Army is an impartialinstitution and acts upon the orders of the elected government,” he said.
He said that whatever he says is from the institution.
The DG ISPR said that the Pak Army has no role in the election. “The Armyparticipates in the election process when it is asked to do so by theelected government,” he said.

He said that the government should form such a system that there should beno need of Pak Army.
About the ongoing sit-in, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that Maulana FazlurRehman is a senior politician.
