Special Representative for Afghanistan, Asif Ali Durrani, strongly deniedAfghan allegations of Pakistani interference. Speaking at an event inIslamabad, Durrani stated that Pakistan did not invite the Soviet Union toAfghanistan, nor did Pakistan host Afghan refugees by its own choice.
He emphasized that Afghans themselves should decide on peace, stability, development, and prosperity in Afghanistan, as Pakistan or theinternational community cannot provide a lasting solution for peace andsecurity in Afghanistan.
He also mentioned that the TTP (Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan) has beenlaunching terrorist attacks from Afghanistan into Pakistan, and it iscrucial to stop this cycle.
It should be noted that on Tuesday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid hadgiven an ultimatum to illegally residing foreign nationals in Pakistan, allowing them until November 1 to leave the country voluntarily, statingthat if they don’t comply, the relevant authorities will deport them.
