PM Imran Khan attends high level security meeting at Corps Headquarters Quetta

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend high level securitymeeting in Corps Headquarters Quetta.

He arrived in the capital of Balochistan, Quetta on Saturday for a securitybriefing concerning the province.

Upon his arrival, the prime minister was received by Chief MinisterBalochistan Jam Kamal, PM Office media wing in a press release said.

The premier would chair a meeting on the development projects ofBalochistan and meet members of the provincial cabinet.

According to spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces, the prime minister will bebriefed on the security situation of Pakistan’s land-wise biggest province,Baluchistan at Headquarters Southern Command, statedDuring his visit, the prime minister would also meet parliamentarians andrepresentatives of the civil society.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ch. Fawad Hussain, Minister forPlanning and Development Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Minister of State forInterior Shehryar Afridi, provincial political leadership, specialassistants to PM on media and political affairs are also accompanying theprime minister.

This is the first tour of premier Imran Khan to Balochistan after assumingcharge and holds crucial importance as the province faces violencesporadically owing to the subversive activities carried out by foreign spyagencies.
