NEW DELHI – Indian mainstream media has started criticizing its unilateralmove to change the special status of Occupied Kashmir.
According to Hindustan Times, the move has triggered anger in the Valley,which is under a virtual lockdown.
The editorial of the paper stated that situation in Occupied Kashmir is amatter of concern amid information blackout and massive deployment offorces.
It further said restrictions also gave room to critics to question India’smoral authority and democratic credentials.
It urged Indian government to release mainstream politicians and start aprocess of dialogue over the issue.
