Lahore Dolphin Police force officials arrested for looting citizens

LAHORE – A force specially formed to curb robberies in Lahore faced a majorblow to its prestige after two of its personnel were apprehended for theiralleged involvement in looting citizens.

The Crime Investigation Agency Lahore has arrested four suspects, includingtwo officials of Dolphin Force, during the probe in dozens of robberieshappened in the city.

The arrested police personal have been identified as Bilal Ahmad havingbelt number 26059 and Bilal Ali belt no. 18388, while two others have beenidentified as Yasir and Aza. The arrest of the Dolphin Force officialsraised objections to the recruitment process.

The CIA recovered ten motorcylces, pistols and stolen from the possessionof the suspects, who also injured five people by firing at them duringrobbery attempts.

SP Dolphin squad Mohammad Nadeem said that both security officials werealready suspended due to prolonged absence. He said that black sheep in thedepartment will not be tolerated.

However, DSP Shehzad Rafique has been assigned a task to conduct an inquiryinto the matter.
