ISLAMABAD – On August 5th, Balochistan Governor Muhammad khan achakzaiinaugurated the Centre of Excellence of CPEC at the Balochistan Universityof Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS).
During this event, Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Foundation of Peaceand Development Mr. Wang Hua, Vice Chancellor BUITEMS Engineer FarooqBazai, VC KHuzdar Engineering University Dr. Professor Dr. Ahsan Kakar, VCLoralai University Dr. Maqsood and other renowned names in the field ofeducation were present.
While addressing participants of the inaugural ceremony, Governor Achakzaisaid, Pakistan is the first country that recognized China in the comity ofnations.”
He said that China has become the second biggest economy of the world andthe Chinese government had taken steps which had helped hundreds ofthousands of poor to rise above from poverty line by creating jobopportunities for them. He said that as many as one million people arebeing raised above the poverty line per annum in China which is a record inthe world and the credit of this success goes to China and the ChineseCommunist Party.
He added, “China doesn’t lag behind any country in the field of informationtechnology as it has introduced a system of artificial intelligence oncompetitive grounds.”
Adding more, “CPEC will connect Pakistan with all developing and developednations and this connectivity is the central point of this very project. Inthis regard, Gwadar holds key importance in connecting the Central Asianand African countries and making them shareholders in the process of peaceand development.”
