The world leaders have appreciated the government of Pakistan and PrimeMinister Imran Khan’s leading role to tackle environmental impacts with anumber of mega initiatives.
In their virtual speeches and video messages in the main ceremony of WorldEnvironment Day that was hosted by Pakistan, they commemorated the effortsof Pakistani nation led by Prime Minister Imran Khan for showing the worldthat through devotion and commitment, the tides of global warming andclimate change could be reversed.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China commends Pakistan’s commitmentto ecosystem restoration, and stands ready to work with Pakistan and therest of international community to step up cooperation within the UNframework.
Noting the significance of UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, President Xisaid the thematic activities held by Pakistan are of great importance.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson appreciated Prime Minister forundertaking a mega project of planting ten billion trees.
He said it is a huge campaign for forestation.
Executive Director UN Environment Programme, Inger Anderson said Pakistanis showing us a way. Prime Minister Imran Khan recently planted one billiontree of Ten Billion Tree Tsunami. Bravo to all.
