LAHORE – The Punjab government will ensure payment of two hundred rupeesextra-premium per 40 kilogram, on neat and clean picking of cotton thisyear.
In a statement, Punjab Agriculture Extension Director General, SyedZafaryab Haider said that the government is trying its utmost to promotecotton crop cultivation across the province.
He expressed hoped that cotton farmers will get handsome returns in termsof prices in the ongoing season.
He said, canal water will also be made available this year for crops.
