KABUL: Spokesperson of Khost Police Chief, Basir Bina has confirmed that asmany as 13 people were killed and 31 others were injured in an explosion atmosque in the Khost province of Afghanistan on Sunday.
He added that after the afternoon prayers the people were gathered in themosque which was also being used as a voter registration centre forparliamentary elections.
He claimed that according to initial report it appeared to be thatexplosives left in the mosque rather than a suicide bomber and adding thatno one claims the responsibility of the terrorist attack.
Earlier in month of April, more than 60 people were killed in a suicideattack on a voter centre in the capital Kabul, which was claimed by IslamicState while the Taliban has also warned people not to take part in theelections.
