FAISALABAD – The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has attained61st place among top 100 universities of the world.
An UAF spokesman told APP on Saturday that the latest ranking had beenreleased by The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings whichplaced the UAF at 61st position out of 487 world universities and first inPakistan in SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
The ranking system, on making exceptional progress in SDG 13- Climateaction positioned the UAF 77th global and second best in the country out of257 world universities.
The overall ranking includes 462 universities from 76 nations, placed theUAF at 201st at global and second in the country level.
The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is known for teaching, learningand research, consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in theworld.
There are 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and TheImpact Ranking is evaluating university performance on 11 of them in firstedition of the ranking in 2019.
UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa while felicitating thefaculty, staff and students urged them to work hard and make the universitya model varsity of the country.
