Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar says governmentis spending 120 billion rupees to provide relief to 20 million deservingfamilies under ‘Ehsaas Rashan Riayat programme’.
Addressing a convention of merchants in Lahore on Saturday, she said underthe programme, a subsidy worth 1,000 rupees per month will be provided toeach of the 20 million families on purchase of flour, pulses, ghee, cookingoil whereas 8 per cent commission was fixed for merchants.
