*ABU DHABI – Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has announced thathe will come to Karachi, Pakistan for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 4.*
The Quetta Gladiators’ cricketer confirmed the news on social media.
“It’s been 14 years since I last visited Pakistan, a place with some of themost passionate fans in world cricket. Can’t wait to give it our best shotin bringing home the trophy with @quetta.gladiators,” the all-rounderposted on Instagram.
Quetta Gladiators’ owner Nadeem Umar convinced him to play in Pakistan.
Watson will arrive with other international players, Fawad Ahmed, inKarachi on Thursday. He will take part in the game against Karachi Kings onSunday.
All of Islamabad United players will be travelling to Karachi for thePakistan leg of PSL. Luke Ronchi, Phillip Salt, Cameron Delport and SamitPatel will be in action at the National Stadium.
Kings foreign players Colin Munro, Colin Ingram, Sikander Raza and RaviBopara will also be part of tournament in Karachi.
Karachi will host the remaining eight matches of PSL, following the delayedopening of the Lahore airspace for commercial flights, which createdsubstantial operational and logistical challenges for the three Lahorematches, which were originally scheduled for March 9, 10 and 12.
