WASHINGTON – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khanhas urged international community, specifically the United States, to playits due role in resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute.
He was speaking at a seminar organized at Pakistan’s Embassy in Washingtonin connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The Ambassador called upon US administration to exercise its diplomaticclout in pressurizing India to put an end to reign of terror and genocidein occupied Kashmir and fulfill its international obligations underinternational law.
Other speakers at the seminar also voiced deep concern over the gross humanrights violations being committed by Indian forces in Occupied Jammu andKashmir. They paid rich tributes to the courageous people of Kashmir forremaining steadfast in their resolve to free themselves from brutal Indianoccupation.
