ISLAMABAD – President Donald Trump says his administration has acceleratednegotiations to reach a political settlement in Afghanistan with groupsincluding the Taliban.
In his annual State of the Union address to Congress in Washington, he saidas we make progress in these negotiations, we will be able to reduce ourtroop presence and focus on counter-terrorism.
Trump said great nations do not fight endless wars.
