Pakistan is on a path to become a global economic hub and aims to become amelting pot of competing global economic interests, said SAPM on NationalSecurity Division and Strategic Policy Planning, Dr. Moeed Yusuf.
He was chairing the 8th Advisory Board Meeting of the National SecurityCommittee. Dr. Yusuf said that under the economic security model, insteadof the conventional geostrategic lens, Pakistan aims to leverage itsgeo-economic position by partnering with the world. “We are looking foreconomic partnerships and provide avenues for investment,” he said.
Talking about the regional connectivity, the SAPM said that Pakistan,because of its geo-economic location, has the potential to serve as aregional pivot and become a hub of trade and economic activities.“Pakistan’s vision of connectivity and economic security will bringdividends to the region and the partners,” said Dr. Moeed Yusuf.——————————
He directed the participants to come up with implementable proposals thatwill set the country on the path to achieving economic security.
