State of the art security equipment installed at Pakistani Airports

The United Kingdom High Commissioner in Islamabad has gifted Pakistan with two airport security scanners, equipped with latest technology. The official delivery ceremony took place in recent days in the city of Karachi, where the "Jinnah" airport is located, one of the main ones in the Middle Eastern country.
"It is a demonstration of the UK's support for security at Pakistan's airports. We all want travelers to fly safely and securely. Aviation plays a vital role in growing trade between the two countries. I would like to thank Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority for the co-operation we have on aviation safety", said British High Commissioner *Jane Marriott*.
With over 1.6 million people of Pakistani origin living in the UK, the European country has a strong connection with Islamabad. Hundreds of thousands of people travel between the two states every year and it is therefore a priority for London to ensure the safety of air connections. For this reason the British government invested 164,000 Euros to provide two security systems at the airports of Karachi and Lahore.
