Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, while speaking to the media at the Supreme Court Registry in Lahore, stated that the country's courts are independent, and all actions in the country are in accordance with the constitution and the law. Nazir Tarar further mentioned that at times, the courts make decisions that go beyond the constitution and the law, and the law allows military trials for those who attack military installations.
He also emphasized that constituency delimitation is underway, and elections will likely take place in January or February. He stressed the need for a dialogue on inflation in the country, stating that economic stability can be achieved through political stability. On the other hand, PML-N leader Khawaja Asif mentioned that the public is facing anger due to rising prices, and the presence of the party leadership in London is not only causing restlessness within the party but is also a challenge in addressing the public's anger.
Khawaja Asif stated that it would be better for Nawaz Sharif to return in October, and Shehbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar should come back immediately. He also expressed surprise at the extent of the damage when Ishaq Dar returned, as it was not expected. He mentioned that there is no doubt that there is restlessness in our constituencies and among the people, and Maryam Nawaz is continuously in contact with the public.
He further pointed out that the rising inflation is causing unrest among the public, and the presence of Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif in London is increasing the restlessness within the PML-N. On the other hand, PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira stated that until recently, he was a part of the government, but now he wonders how to talk about it when electricity bills have increased significantly, and the public is distressed.
