A prominent businessman has asserted that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir holds the belief that none of the political parties in the country demonstrates sincere intentions towards Pakistan. This revelation was made during a televised discussion where businessman Zubair Motiwala, who had participated in a meeting with Gen Munir alongside Irfan Shaikh in Lahore, shared insights. Additionally, Irfan Shaikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce, also offered his perspective on the same talk show, Nadeem Malik Live, which was hosted by Nadeem Malik and subsequently shared on the social media platform X.

When questioned by Nadeem Malik about the army chief's views on political parties, Motiwala conveyed that General Munir had explicitly stated that none of the political entities displayed genuine commitment to Pakistan. Furthermore, Irfan Sheikh disclosed during the interview that the army chief had specifically mentioned eight to ten politicians who had transitioned from motorcycle-riding to residing abroad.

These revelations have emerged amidst several recent reports indicating meetings between the army chief and businessmen in both Lahore and Karachi. In these interactions, Gen Munir purportedly put forth potential solutions to Pakistan's economic challenges.

These reports also allude to the army chief's claim of securing a substantial $25 billion investment from Saudi Arabia through the Special Investment Facilitation Council, with an additional promise of eventually bringing in a total of $100 billion. General Munir's statements in these meetings extended to his firm stance against corruption and his commitment to curbing smuggling activities. He notably expressed concerns over the impact of the IMF program on Pakistan's economy, emphasizing the need to avoid returning to reliance on external lenders.
