On Wednesday night, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif encountered an episode of public anger while driving through Lahore in the lead-up to the country's elections.
Videos shared on social media depict a crowd assaulting his vehicle and directing insults at him. Some argue that this backlash is a result of his government's perceived poor performance, while others attribute it to grievances about the damaged drainage system in Lahore's Kahna area.
During this incident, the windshield of his vehicle was damaged, but the former prime minister emerged unharmed. Subsequently, Shehbaz Sharif addressed the incident on the social media platform X, acknowledging the encounter and sharing a video in which he engaged with the individuals who had stopped his vehicle to listen to their concerns.
