An agreement has been reached on the repatriation of undocumented residents between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Regarding the issue of the voluntary repatriation of undocumented Afghan residents in Pakistan, officials from the Afghan embassy held an important meeting with the police and administration, with participation from the police, administration, and Afghan commissioners.
During the meeting, Pakistan informed the Afghan embassy about the repatriation process for undocumented Afghan residents, and there was mutual cooperation from the Afghan embassy.
It has also been agreed upon during the meeting to address the matter of the repatriation of undocumented Afghan residents, while ensuring the provision of facilities for those returning voluntarily, as per the discretion of Pakistani authorities.
Foreign Office spokesperson Zahra Baloch clarified in a weekly press briefing that rumors of the cessation of Pakistan-Afghan trade are baseless, and Pakistan is striving to prevent illegal activities within its borders, rather than imposing a ban on Afghan transit trade.
The Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized that this action is not against Afghans or any specific nationality but against all undocumented residents.
