WASHINGTON - United Nations Chief raised serious concerns over human rights violations by India in Occupied Kashmir.

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has again expressed serious concern over grave humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir.

A UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric during a regular briefing said that Secretary-General remains concerned over the grave situation in occupied Kashmir where people are languishing under a tight lockdown.

The UN chief also urged Pakistan and India to hold dialogue to resolve the crisis.

In reply to a question, the spokesman said that the Secretary-General's position on Kashmir has not changed.

He said the UN Secretary General has underscored the need for addressing human rights of the Kashmiri people in order to resolve the crisis.
