ISLAMABAD: (APP) Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Wednesday tasked National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) to prepare a comprehensive working paper on various issues which would be discussed at the meeting of chief ministers on October 18.
The Interior Minister had decided to interact with the chief ministers during a high level meeting held on Tuesday.
The Interior Minister tasked NACTA to prepare working paper for reviewing 4th Schedulers List.

The recommendations, the minister, said would be shared with chief ministers for bringing uniformity and updating the Fourth Schedule list.
The minister also directed NACTA to update the list of members of proscribed organizations in order to keep a close watch on their activities and to block their re-emergence with new names or identities in any part of the country.
The Interior Minister also ordered NACTA to speed up blocking of bank accounts, arms licences, passports, driving licences and any other identity documents of all the listed members of proscribed organizations and the 4th schedulers, which could help them in getting state services.

To effectively check terrorist financing through illegal financial channels, the Interior Minister also assigned NACTA to set up a special cell for meeting the desired objective.
In relation to progress on Madrassah reforms and their mapping across the country, the Interior Minister asserted that there should be uniformity in the process of registration of Madrassahs while taking ulemas and religious leaders on board.
For Madrassah reforms, the Interior Minister directed Secretary Interior and National Coordinator NACTA to coordinate with provinces so the process was carried out in an expeditious manner addressing legitimate concerns of relevant stakeholders and in the light of decisions taken during the meeting of the Interior Minister with Wafaqul Madaris.
On the issue of International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs), Chaudhry Nisar directed Interior Ministry officials to categorize INGOs with their field of development work and performance for past three years in order to expedite the approval processes of INGOs operations in Pakistan under the new criteria.
NACTA Chief briefs on the National Action Plan
Regarding central databank of registration of vehicles, the Interior Minister tasked chairman NADRA to come up with a plan for registration of vehicles across Pakistan.
The minister also directed chairman NADRA that general public should be kept informed regularly over the status of ongoing national security, CNIC reverification drive and blocking and unblocking of CNICs.
He said a fast track system should be evolved whereby those CNICs which are genuine are unblocked within a minimum possible time.
NACTA reveals statistics about the National Action Plan
The high level meeting was also attended by Secretary Interior, Special Secretary Interior, National Coordinator NACTA, Chairman NADRA, Director General Immigration and Passport and senior officials from Interior Ministry and Federal Investigation Agency.
