In the state of Manipur, India, the situation has become extremely dire, with authorities losing control. According to international media reports, around 700 insurgents attacked a police camp in Imphal, seizing modern weapons, firearms, and several vehicles, while also causing casualties among police personnel.

As per the report, the ongoing armed conflict, which began on May 3 last year, has resulted in the looting of over 5,000 government weapons and millions of rounds of ammunition.

Despite deploying more than a hundred thousand security personnel, the situation has slipped from the control of the Modi government.

Reportedly, in Manipur, more than 100 police officers have lost their lives, and over a thousand individuals have been killed, with over a hundred thousand displaced. More than 6,000 homes and over 500 places of worship have also been destroyed.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has declared the situation extremely grave. The National Human Rights Commission has expressed concerns about the Modi government's seriousness in ending the violence incidents.
