Saudi Arabia hints at ending 4 nations boycott of Qatar

Saudi Arabia has expressed optimism that the three-year boycott of Qatar by four Arab nations, including the Riyadh may be nearing an end.

Addressing the Annual Mediterranean Dialogue via video-link held in Italy, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said we have made significant progress in the last few days and hope that this progress can lead to a final agreement which looks in reach.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah, in a statement, said there is progress in resolving the dispute.

The Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in a tweet, also said that the Kuwaiti statement is an imperative step towards resolving the crisis of Gulf Cooperation Council.

H said we express our gratitude to the Kuwait for their mediation and the United States for their efforts in this regard.
