LAHORE: Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza of the Lahore High Court has on Monday given the ultimatum of Dec 13 to Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and medical colleges to resolve the matters pertaining to central admission policy.
It is also worth-mentioning that a ban has been imposed upon admission of new students who pass SAT exams according to the central admission policy.
Under the new policy, students who have passed MCAT will only be eligible for admissions in medical colleges.
The lawyers from both sides revealed during the hearing that talks between medical colleges and PMDC are underway and a middle way would soon be found out.
The court thereby ordered both the parties to submit their replies prior to Dec 13.
