ISLAMABAD- President Dr. Arif Alvi says Pakistan’s actions like unveiling of a new political map and renaming the Kashmir Highway as “Srinagar Highway” on the eve of Youm-e-Istehsal were aimed at highlighting the Jammu and Kashmir dispute at international level.

Talking to a private television channel, he said the unveiling of a new map by Pakistan is symbolic and such actions are a reiteration by Pakistan and presenting its case on Kashmir before the world.

He said Pakistan was also highlighting the military siege of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India since August 5, 2019, which caused huge 4 billion US dollars economic losses to the Kashmiri people.

The president said the Modi government’s anti-Muslim actions, which were reflective in the IIOJ&K, are creating hatred among all the Muslims. We have to tell the world that India’s Hindutva and Nazi policy is aimed at changing the demographic status of IIOJ&K.
