*LONDON - Hussain Nawaz, the son of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, has said that his mother, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, is still on the ventilator but is now conscious.*
Hussain said that Kulsoom is now able to recognise family members. She can even communicate with them through gestures but is not able to speak yet, he said.
Kulsoom is still admitted at the Harley Street Clinic in London. She went to London last year to be treated for cancer.
