ISLAMABAD: Director General Radio Pakistan Saba Mohsin Raza has underlined the need of boosting people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Maldives.
She was talking to a Maldivian media delegation that called on her at Broadcasting House, Islamabad on Friday.
The director general said exchange programmes, especially in field of media, will help in further improving bilateral relations.
The delegation informed the director general that they visited different areas of Pakistan and prepared documentaries on the occasion of 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Maldives.
Director Programmes Khurshid Malik and Controller News and Current Affairs, Javed Khan Jadoon briefed the delegation about functioning of Radio Pakistan.
The delegation was informed that Radio Pakistan is main, effective, and credible source of information and entertainment in the country with access to 98 per cent population. It is broadcasting programmes and news in national and regional languages besides 10 foreign languages.
