WASHINGTON: US Department of Justice took stock of Panama Paper Leaks to find out evidence of unscrupulous activities.

US DOJ and Foreign officials launched a probe amid massive data leak based on 1.5 million documents of off shore companies.

US DOJ official Peter Car said “We are aware of the reports and are reviewing them. While we cannot comment on the specifics of these alleged documents, the US Department of Justice takes very seriously all credible allegation of high level, foreign corruption that might have a link to the US or US financial system.”

The official claimed that they have not found any major name of US citizen in the Panama Paper leak but 3,072 companies, 441 clients, 221 beneficiaries and 3,467 shareholders from US are reported in the documents.
