PTI government plans major changes in the CSS exams process in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led federal government isplanning to make several significant changes in the Central SuperiorServices (CSS) examination process.

According to various reports, the government has decided to slash the upperage limit for CSS examination by 2 years. Currently, the upper age limitfor appearing in the CSS examination is 30 years. The new upper age limitwill be set to 28 years if the latest changes are implemented. Therelaxation in age for government employees will also be reduced by 4 yearswhich was previously 32 years.——————————

Moreover, Central Superior Services (CSS) will be renamed to the CentralServices of Pakistan. The proposed changes aim to end the differencesbetween candidates from science and social backgrounds.

Examination of Central Services of Pakistan will have a percentile scoresystem that will judge all candidates equally.——————————

The special quota reserved for candidates hailing from underdeveloped partsof the country will also be eliminated. Central Services of Pakistan willassess candidates on their educational capabilities rather than domicile.
