Pakistan gets good news from middle eastern state over Overseas Visas and the CPEC projects

ISLAMABAD – Consul General of Kuwait, Salem Yousif Al-Hamdan, has said thatKuwait wants to streamline the process of issuance of business visas toPakistani nationals.

While addressing a group of businessmen at the Karachi Chamber of Commerceand Industry, Al-Hamdan urged interior ministries of both, Kuwait andPakistan, to discuss the details of streamlining the issuance of businessvisas.

Kuwait has a rigid visa policy because people from about 120 countries areliving in the country, said Al-Hamdan.

Kuwaiti envoy acknowledged the significance of the China-Pakistan EconomicCorridor (CPEC) and said that the project will not only be beneficial forPakistan but the entire region can reap its benefits.

In a bid to attract Kuwaiti investors and businessmen in Balochistan,Al-Hamdan suggested that the Balochistan government should organize a CPECconference. Al-Hamdan added that his country will provide necessaryassistance in organizing the conference and ensure the participation of notjust Kuwaiti investors but businessmen from the entire Gulf region.

The CPEC conference would play a key part in raising awareness about theimportance of CPEC and highlighting potential investment opportunities inPakistan.

Consul General recapitulated some of the most important MoUs signed betweenKuwait and Pakistan. In the coming days, representatives of the KuwaitInvestment Authority will visit Pakistan to explore more investmentopportunities.

Kuwait Investment Authority will particularly explore trade and investmentopportunities in Karachi because its two ports hold immense investmentpotential.

Salem Yousif Al-Hamdan underscored strong bilateral ties between Kuwait andPakistan. Al-Hamdan said that Pakistan exported goods worth $339.47 millionto Kuwait in the past two years.
